Customer Services Representative

Sovrin Medical Plastics provides contract manufacturing services for the supply of plastic components and assemblies to the Healthcare industries.

This internal role, based in Slough is a combination of internal sales and customer service.

Job details:

  • Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer relationships
  • Maintain a regular liaison between customers and key departments of the company
  • Receive and process customer orders and forecasts and monitor ongoing demand
  • Ensure that the company ERP system is maintained
  • Manage customer forecasts and delivery requirements
  • Assist Logistics and other departments in the management of importing and exporting of goods
  • Compile and manage summary reports
  • Continuous improvement – working with Sovrin’s departments in conjunction with its Customers to support improvement initiatives

    Systems Quality Engineer

    Systems focussed Engineer required to join the Quality Assurance team in a successful and expanding Plastics engineering company manufacturing Medical Devices and precision injection mouldings. Experience of working within an ISO 9001OR ISO 13485 environment is preferred. Knowledge and understanding of the regulations of ISO13485 would be highly desirable. The successful applicant will be expected to be a key contributor to the development and maintenance of Quality Management System. Manufacturing/Engineering background desirable but not essential. Key Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

    • Conducting and contributing to the management of the compliance review process, identifying and implementation of system improvements
    • Authoring of critical systems documents
    • Internal Auditing
    • Risk Assessment and Management
    • Training and assessing company employees in relation to the QMS and regulatory requirements
    • Ensure the company is informed and has up-to-date information on all applicable and necessary specifications and standards
    • Understanding of and mentoring of cGMP in the company
    • Instigate improvements through the use of lean/six sigma tools.

    Toolmaker/Mould Tool Service Engineer – Plastics Moulding

    Required to join the team of a successful and expanding Plastics Engineering Company manufacturing Precision Injection Mouldings, Assemblies and Medical Devices for the Pharmaceutical, Drug Delivery and Healthcare industries.

    The successful applicant should have a track record in Toolmaking and preferably experience of Plastic Injection Mould Tools.

    You will work in a modern well equipped Toolroom on Plastic Injection mould tools, Jigs and Fixtures. CNC/CAD-CAM and/or EDM experience would be beneficial but not essential. Training can be given where/if required.

    Ideally you will be an experienced Engineering professional with a ‘hands on’ background working in a Plastics manufacturing based environment.

    The candidate must have good communication and interpersonal skills, with sound commercial judgement, be self-motivated and determined to meet or exceed targets.

    You should live within easy commuting distance of Slough and hold a valid full current driving licence.

    Warehouse Operative

    Required to join the team of a successful and expanding Plastics

    Engineering Company manufacturing Precision Injection Mouldings, Assemblies and Medical Devices for the Pharmaceutical, Drug Delivery and Healthcare industries.

    Duties will include the receiving and despatching of goods, picking & packing, distribution of inventory to manufacturing areas and other general warehouse duties.

    Ideal applicants will have experience in this role, hold a valid driving licence and be a certified forklift driver.

    Working hours are rotating shifts, 6am-2pm first week and 2pm-10pm the following week on a Monday to Friday basis.

    The candidate must have good communication and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and determined to meet or exceed targets.

    Remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience.

    20 days holiday + Bank holidays.

    Plastics Injection Moulding Process Engineer/Technician

    Plastics Injection Moulding Engineer/Technician required to join the moulding team of a successful and expanding Plastics engineering company manufacturing Medical Devices and precision injection mouldings.

    Experience of working within an ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 environment would be advantageous. The successful applicant will be expected to be a key contributor to the development and ongoing improvement of processes and associated applications. A key contributor to the New Product Introduction procedure you will be capable of using Optimisation techniques, including use of standard Helix software application and other tools eg DOE’s, as required.

    Reporting directly to the Moulding Manager and providing process engineering support to the Moulding Department to achieve production volume at the highest quality and lowest cost.

    Our core Equipment is Fanuc ‘all electric’ servo drive Injection Moulding Machines supplemented with Yushin Robotics, Piovan centralised materials handling and other high end ancillary hardware.

    You will be an experienced and ‘hands on’ Moulding Engineer/Technician with a background working in a Plastics manufacturing based environment.
